Peri Spritz

Perineum Wash Bottle

Clean your bits gently, and without contortion.

WHEN YOU'LL NEED IT

For your first wee after birth. Pack it in your hospital bag.

HOW TO USE IT

Keep in your bathroom ready to use each time you wee. Fill with water, and position upsidedown, between your legs as you sit on the toilet with the nozzle directed at your perineal area. Squeeze to release a consistent stream of water. It’s also great to use in the shower or add Ritz Bitz Sitz Bath Salts to the bottle for an added oomph.

To clean your C-section scar, fill with warm water, direct the nozzle at your scar and squeeze.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

Peri Spritz has an upside down nozzle so you can give yourself a targeted cleanse down there, taking the sting out of weeing in those early, post-birth days.

FAQ

How do I use this product?

In those early weeks after giving birth, keep Peri Spritz in your bathroom ready to use each time you wee. Fill with water, and position upside down, between your legs as you sit on the toilet with the nozzle directed at your perineal area. Squeeze to release a consistent stream of water. You can use in the shower too, whatever feels most comfortable. To clean your C-section scar, fill with warm water, direct the nozzle at your scar and squeeze, for a targeted gentle clean.

What do I fill Peri Spritz with?

Warm water! You could also add Ritz Bitz Sitz Bath Salts to the water for an added oomph.

Where can I use Peri Spritz?

Generally, we recommend using it over the toilet, or in the shower, but any area you don’t mind getting the floor wet is fine.

How long would I use this for?

As long as you need. Peri Spritz is especially helpful to cleanse the perineal area if it has stitches  (sutures). These are dissolvable and typically last for 1 to 3 weeks, with most disappearing within 2 to 4 weeks. Full healing of the skin and underlying tissues usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks.

Is this best for a vaginal birth, caesarean birth, or both?

Peri Spritz is multi-purpose. It’s a great no-touch way to cleanse your sore perineum after a vaginal birth. And if you had a caesarean birth, it’s really important to keep your caesarean scar clean to avoid infection, and one way to do it is with targeted cleansing.
