Scar Strips

Silicone C-Section Reusable Scar Patches

Flatten and minimise the appearance of your C-Section scar.

WHEN YOU'LL NEED IT

After your Caesarean birth, once your hospital dressings have been removed and you’re given the OK from your health care team.

HOW TO USE IT

Remove the backing and apply the strip directly to your clean, dry scar. You can cut each strip to the size that best suits you. Start by wearing 2-4 hours a day, gradually increasing to 24 hours for best results. Each strip can be cleaned and reused for up to 14 days (therefore each pack gives you 28 days of treatment), simply clean with warm water and dry before reapplying.

For new scars, continue treatment for 8 weeks. For scars older than 12 months, continue treatment for 3 to 6 weeks for best results.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

Thin and comfortable, each strip is flexible and long enough to cover your entire incision, aiding its look and feel and helping you heal with more comfort. The 2 pack means you can rotate, rinse and repeat.

FAQ

How soon after giving birth can I use Scar Strips?

You can start using Scar Strips once your incision is fully closed and healed, with no scabs, open areas, weeping, or signs of infection, and your hospital dressings have been removed. For most C-section births, this is usually around 3–6 weeks postpartum, but the exact timing depends on your healing. Always get clearance from your doctor or midwife before using.

How does silicone work?

Medical-grade silicone works by creating a protective, breathable barrier over the scar. This helps lock in moisture, which supports a balanced healing environment. It can also help regulate collagen production, which may reduce raised, thickened or uneven scar tissue and gradually improve softness, flattening and overall appearance with consistent use.

How often do I wear the strips?

Initially, wear your Scar Strips for around 2- 4 hours a day, gradually increasing to 24 hours for best results. Each strip can be cleaned and reused for up to 14 days. You can start with shorter wear times and gradually build up as the skin adjusts. The more consistent the use, the better the potential long-term outcome. For new scars, continue treatment for 8 weeks. For scars older than 12 months, continue treatment for 3 to months for best results.

The strips are big, can I resize them?

Yes, but we recommend you allow plenty of clearance around the wound, ideal for removal and application.

How do I keep them clean?

Wash the strips gently after each use with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Rinse well and allow them to air dry on a clean surface (sticky side up or on the protective backing once dry). Avoid towels or tissues, as lint can reduce adhesion. Replace them when they no longer stick well or become damaged.

Can Scar Strips work on anything else?

Yes. While commonly used for C-section scars, silicone strips can also be used on other surgical scars, injury scars, or keloid/prone areas once fully healed. They are designed for any closed scar where improving texture, softness, and appearance is the goal.
