As the water cools, add a little hot water to the bowl and keep moving the bag until it all becomes liquid. If your baby prefers their milk to be warm, you can heat cold or defrosted expressed milk using a bottle warmer or do it manually by standing the bag in a container of hot (not boiling) water until the milk feels warm to the touch. Swirl gently to mix then test the temperature on your wrist, it should feel warm, not hot. It is not recommended to heat breastmilk more than once.
