HOW TO USE IT

Pour expressed breastmilk into the opened bag, seal and place into the fridge or freezer standing upright. When it’s time to use, defrost or warm, then snip off the spout seal and pour. Single use only.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

Keep expressed breastmilk safely for a little or a long time in the fridge or freezer with these easy-to-use storage bags. The wide zip-lock opening is easy filling, and the snip-off spout is easy for pouring out milk to use. The mls scale is clear and easy to read and there’s space for writing the date milk was expressed and how much.

FAQ

How do I use these bags?

Pour expressed breastmilk into the opened bag, seal and place into the fridge or freezer standing upright. When it’s time to use, defrost or warm, then snip off the spout seal and pour.

Why would I need to store my breast milk?

If you are using a breast pump to express breastmilk, you may want to reuse that breastmilk to feed your baby. Especially in the early days, every drop counts!

Are these for the fridge, or freezer, or both?

Both! General guidelines say breastmilk is best stored in the freezer for three months, the fridge for three days and at room temperature for three hours. For the most up to date timelines on milk storage visit the ABA.

How do I warm my milk?

Frozen breastmilk can thaw in the fridge or quickly in warm water or a bottle warmer. If you are choosing warm water, simply stand the bag in a bowl of warm (not hot or boiling) water and gently move it around until thawed. As the water cools, add a little hot water to the bowl and keep moving the bag until it all becomes liquid. If your baby prefers their milk to be warm, you can heat cold or defrosted expressed milk using a bottle warmer or do it manually by standing the bag in a container of hot (not boiling) water until the milk feels warm to the touch. Swirl gently to mix then test the temperature on your wrist, it should feel warm, not hot. It is not recommended to heat breastmilk more than once.

Can I reuse storage bags?

No, Stour and Pour are single-use only and should not be reused.
