FAQ

Why would I use Booby Soothers cold?

Using Booby Soothers cold may assist with engorgement (oversupply, heat, swelling, tenderness) especially in those early feeding weeks where you are still establishing a supply. Breasts may become tender post feed so using the soothers cold can assist in reducing swelling, pain and tenderness.

Why would I use Booby Soothers warm?

Using Booby Soothers before you breastfeed your baby triggers the letdown to flow faster and more easily. This is due to warmth assisting in stimulating milk flow so your baby doesn’t have to work as hard at the start of the feed (which can reduce frustration and nipple pain). It can also help to soften the breasts making it easier for your baby to latch properly.

How long do they stay at the heated or cooled temp?

We recommend wearing for up to 15 minutes at a time. For heat therapy, warm is ideal, they do not need to be hot.

What’s the split for?

To help fit on all sizes of breasts, and to accommodate a pump if you’re wearing them while expressing milk.

Can I keep these in the freezer?

They work better if kept in a cool, dry place and then placed in the freezer for up to two hours before use.
